At the end of 2014 Deutsche Annington and GAGFAH merged to become Vonovia; the new market leader of the German housing sector with the claim “Time to rethink living.” was formed. Both partners suffered from severe reputation problems. After the withdrawal of the PE owners and the new executive board with the CEO Rolf Buch, flotation and strategic reorientation were initiated. The development of the new brand based on the new business model and the new self-concept are the essential instruments of the transformation.
