Details

Together with creative makers, next125 is continuously redefining itself as a premium brand. Along those lines, next125’s latest collaboration with architect Francis Kéré brought a special project to life: ‘The Fireplace’. A pantheon-like circular construction, about six metres high, made of untreated spruce logs of varying diameters. At its heart, an elegant next125 kitchen. The project takes its name from the built-in hob and its fire, which brings people together and provides warmth. ‘The Fireplace’ celebrates the kitchen as a place for people to come together – a metaphor for cooking and the kitchen, for community and communication.

The Jury‘s Statement

next125, the premium kitchen furniture brand, impresses with an exceptional project that places design and community at its core. The collaboration with architect Francis Kéré combines archaic elements with timeless aesthetics. The circular structure made of untreated wood and the central fireplace symbolize warmth and unity. This project stands out for its sustainable material use, local production, and outstanding presentation. It sets benchmarks for holistic communication and emotional brand staging.
