A vision becomes reality: With the EDEKA FOOD ACADEMY, EDEKA Nordbayern–Sachsen–Thüringen is meeting the challenges of the labour market for the grocery retail sector. The service and competence centre for personnel development, personnel marketing and recruiting sets new standards in the industry: with the FOOD-ACADEMY-Campus, workshops, eLearning seminars and a mobile training truck that takes knowledge directly to the regions. True to the motto “Inspire. Empower. Enable.”, the aim is to nurture employees in a practical way, to make EDEKA’s brand values tangible, and to ensure sustainable quality in retail.

With the EDEKA FOOD ACADEMY, EDEKA Nordbayern-Sachsen-Thüringen sets new benchmarks in personnel development. The project combines on-site and mobile learning formats with digital offerings into a coherent overall concept that inspires and empowers employees in a practical way. Particularly impressive is the mobile training truck, delivering knowledge directly to the regions. The project stands out for its clear strategic focus and its ability to make brand values tangible. It demonstrates impressively how sustainable employee retention can be successfully achieved.
