Summer 2024: The UEFA European Football Championship is about to kick off—the perfect opportunity for Wolt, the delivery service of choice, to launch a matching campaign. After all, no one wants to be stuck in the kitchen when a goal is scored. Even before the first match, the streets were filled with posters of celebrating fans. But unlike AliExpress and others, we opted for a more unexpected approach, relying solely on eye-catching headline pressing. With countless messages displayed on posters, giant billboards, radio spots, YouTube ads, and social media feeds.

Wolt, the Finnish delivery service, has created an outstanding example of strategic brand communication with its campaign for the 2024 European Championship. The deliberately minimalist design, characterized by impactful headlines in the brand’s signature blue, boldly stands out from the cluttered football campaigns. Through real-time responses and the integration of a renowned commentator, the campaign successfully established a direct connection with its audience. This consistent and trailblazing execution demonstrates how a brand can remain memorable through clarity, relevance, and a strong focus on its target group.
