Vonovia’s L(i)ebenswerte Quartiere create sustainable neighbourhoods by integrating functional and social spaces that foster community engagement. The bar offerings – from plauderbar to pflückbar and reparierbar – are easily accessible and visually distinctive. 31M developed the modular design and branding concept, combining intuitive wordmarks, colour schemes, and signage to create a seamless, recognizable experience. This approach makes sustainable urban development tangible while reinforcing Vonovia’s brand identity.

Vonovia demonstrates with the “L(i)ebenswerte Quartiere” (Livable Neighborhoods) how social and ecological responsibility can be strategically and creatively integrated into urban environments. The modular “bar-offers” – such as plauderbar (chat space), pflückbar (harvest space), or reparierbar (repair space) – are not only functional and easily accessible but also visually distinctive and identity-shaping. The combination of intuitive design, barrier-free access, and sustainable urban development makes this project a remarkable example of successfully merging brand communication with social responsibility.
