In the age of generative creations and automated processes, the German Brand Awards and PAGE are championing ‘Human Made’. The Creative of the Year honorary award recognises creatives for their contribution to successful brand management. You decide which of the six finalists will be celebrated on stage via online voting.

Together with PAGE, the creative industry magazine, the German Brand Awards seeking a personality who translates the strategic DNA of brands into compelling presentations with a clear signature style, demonstrable impact, attitude and courage. When nominating the finalists in March, the jury assessed the quality of the brand strategy, distinctive differentiation within the industry and the measurable impact of the creative execution. These six creatives have made it onto the shortlist:

Ariane Spanier is internationally renowned for her work as a freelance designer and works as a creative director at the intersection of typography, concept and visual identity.

Andreas Schimmelpfennig works at Elastique with an approach that makes curiosity a guiding principle: for him, doing things twice is boring.

At Karl Anders, Claudia Fischer-Appelt views creativity less as a muse and more as a mixing desk, equipping brands for the future.

Henning Klimczak of Sherpa Design is convinced that good work must set something in motion – for the benefit of the brand and the people behind it.

Shirin Frangoul-Brückner of Atelier Brückner transforms complex topics into experiences and considers brand design successful only if it sticks in the memory.

Roman Hilmer is behind many of Fork Unstable Media’s digital brand communication campaigns and, with creative openness, focuses on the friction between humans and machines. 

The PAGE Content Hub presents all six finalists in detail, featuring selected work, personal insights and their perspectives on creativity. The decision is yours: Who will be Creative of the Year?

Online Voting is Open Until 15 June 2026

By taking part in the vote, you’re not only putting creativity in the spotlight, but also standing a chance to win two tickets to the German Brand Convention and the subsequent Awards Show on 25 June 2026 at the Uber Eats Music Hall in Berlin. Three pairs of tickets will be raffled off among all participants for the networking event, which will be attended by over 750 brand managers from industry, SMEs and the creative sector. The closing date for entries is 15 June 2026.
