Looking for queer events in one place? For a long time, there was no central platform for this. Rainbowtime closes this gap: an event platform by the queer community for the queer community that bundles events, makes them visible and connects people. That's why we created a visual identity for Rainbowtime that reflects diversity, inclusion and community. Our design strategy combines authenticity with differentiation: Rainbowtime should fit organically into the community while also being recognisable as a standalone brand.
The Jury‘s Statement
What had long been missing was a brand that not only brings together queer events, but can also be read as reliable infrastructure for orientation and connection. maalef studio developed an identity for "Rainbowtime" ("Rainbowtime - LGBTQ+ Event Calendar") that uses cultural references precisely without slipping into cliché. The design remains open to different lived realities while protecting privacy and self determination. Its relevance derives from the clear connection between closeness to the community, digital usability and a distinctive brand image.
