FraAlliance – the joint venture between Fraport and Lufthansa – is improving the travel experience at Frankfurt Airport with digital services. For the new iQR information system, advyze® developed ‘ROGER’, a friendly robot character that provides emotional support to travellers, helps them find their way around and encourages them to scan the QR code. As an ‘airport buddy’, ROGER makes complex information easily accessible and ensures a stress-free, intuitive and positive airport experience.

The Jury‘s Statement

In the dense communication environment of an airport, technical information alone is not enough. For FraAlliance, advyze developed "ROGER", a brand character that makes the iQR service visible, accessible and culturally relatable. The design gives the system a clear visual reference point, the messaging lowers the barrier to use, and its deployment across different touchpoints accompanies travellers along their journey. This creates a service experience that not only provides orientation, but delivers it in a friendly way.
