After 29 years, Germany's largest and market-leading vehicle marketplace, mobile.de, received its first upgrade. The company wanted to prepare for the future while maintaining the brand strength it had built up over many years. The rebranding process took over two years, involving market research and analysis, strategy development, design and implementation. Extensive qualitative and quantitative data collection was used to validate the strategic direction. The new flexible design system combines trust and modern elements.

Repositioning a leading digital vehicle marketplace after decades without losing its established place demands great precision in brand management. Mutabor developed a data-based positioning for mobile.de that places trust and guidance at its core and translated it into a distinctive corporate brand design with a striking M, new typography and a clearly directed colour palette. This gives the brand a robust system that preserves its heritage while preparing it for future mobility contexts.
