KONE, one of the world’s leading producers of elevators and escalators, partnered with Manyone to modernize its brand after a century of operation. Together, they created a future-facing brand strategy and identity that is hybrid, digital, and aligned with KONE’s mission to enhance the flow of urban life. To extend this transformation into the auditory dimension, KONE appointed Unmute as its sonic branding partner. In close collaboration with Manyone, Unmute translated the flow of life mission into a distinctive and scalable sonic identity.

The Jury‘s Statement

As part of its brand modernisation, KONE faced the task of structuring its identity in sound as well and defining it coherently across markets and touchpoints. Unmute developed an acoustic system that translates the brand’s experience drivers into musical principles with precision. From the sonic logo to the music toolbox, the design is built for application. The result is a clearly guided sound that creates orientation and holds the brand together recognisably across digital and physical encounters.
