Everything is spinning, everything is moving. Because in 2025, the city of Vienna will celebrate the 200th birthday of its star musician Johann Strauss. And in the process, Johann Strauss' initials are transformed in motion design—in the blue of the idealized “Blue Danube”—into a “W”—as in Vienna, waltz, and wonderful. Surrounded by 10 magical elements that glow in the pink and light blue sunrise.

The Jury‘s Statement

An anniversary year devoted to music history can easily remain trapped in the familiar. For "Johann.Strauß-Festjahr 2025" ("Johann Strauss Anniversary Year 2025"), GRUPPE AM PARK takes a different route: the communication frees Strauss from folklore and positions him as a living cultural reference in contemporary Vienna. The visual system, with its animated wordmark idea, distinctive colour palette and surprising image combinations, extends across analogue and digital touchpoints. Through this discipline across many formats and urban spaces, the anniversary year gains a clearly legible, contemporary identity.
