Founded in 1876, the company known for its cash registers was one of Bielefeld’s most significant employers. Ten years ago Anker disappeared from the scene and functioned as a production location for the Oracle Corporation. In 2015 private investors took over the production plant in order to re-establish the traditional company, looking back on 140 years of experience.
