Statement of the jury
In 2018, the Dortmunder U brought the international exhibition Pink Floyd Exhibition »Their Mortal Remains« to Dortmund, which not only became its most visited exhibition up until that point, but also attracted a great deal of media coverage and feedback on social media, bringing attention-grabbing art installations to the city and successfully integrating them within the local cultural scene. A real coup, and one which effectively underlines the Dortmunder U’s progressive understanding of cultural marketing and the international requirements of the brand.
