How do you show the impact the EU is having on millions of people worldwide? Instead of expert talk, we picked 4 young bloggers through a global competition to travel the world, discover EU development projects and tell the stories of those whose dreams came true thanks to the EU. The campaign was a big hit on social media: it reached 30 million young people worldwide and engaged with over 4 million. It received extensive media coverage and was replicated by other institutions and EU embassies.


Statement of the jury

By sending young and likeable bloggers to EU development projects around the world in order to report on the positive impact of the EU on the lives of the people living there, millions of followers have been inspired. The development work of the EU is a rather abstract topic, especially among young people, a situation that the emotional and credible FACES2HEARTS campaign was able to change. It showed a good understanding of how to reach young people and arouse their interest. A highly exciting project of social and political relevance.
