The German Brand Monitor
The German Brand Monitor is the country’s most extensive study on trends and success factors in modern brand management. Published by the German Design Council and GMK Markenberatung, the study regularly examines the status quo in German brand management – and provides valuable assistance for companies and agencies with regard to brand strategies.
A brand can only be successful if it is thought, developed and implemented holistically. But: Brand positioning is too seldom used as a leading tool across all corporate divisions. This is a key result of the decision-maker study “German Brand Monitor 2021/2022”. The fifth edition of the largest German-language brand study shows where the most important challenges for brand decision-makers currently lie.

The German Brand Awards is a competition organised by the German Brand Institute. This Institute was founded by the German Design Council and the consulting firm GMK Markenberatung in order to strengthen brand management as a critical success factor for companies competing in both the domestic and international markets. The award is intended to function as a catalyst in the German brand sector, bringing together the most important brand manufacturers and sparking dialogue. With the German Brand Awards, the Institute has created one of the most important prizes available to German brands.
