Description

On the occasion of the company’s 150th anniversary WESCO presented the new image spot on this year’s Ambiente. The stop motion film rounds off the company’s fair presentation in a medium that aims for a touching emotionality. In the film a change takes place in the photography of the catalogue pictures, which become moving images. The principal actors are the colourful WESCO-products, who are celebrating the “colourful life”, the joy of application and the variety of the product range.


Statement of the jury

The imaginative image film that was lovingly produced for the occasion of the company’s 150th anniversary demonstrates in a wonderfully trendy manner in screaming colours the diverse range of products and simultaneously expresses the happiness and fun the users have with them. A special feature of the film is the use of analogue stop motion technology, with which the illusion of motion is generated instead of digital CGI animation. Appealingly genuine, fresh and contemporary, the film brings the colourful Wesco products to life before the eyes of the viewer. A small jewel of an image film that succeeds in emotionally moving the viewers while remaining true to the brand and the product.
